Receiving Your Financial Aid
An electronic account is established for students who receive financial aid, into which the funds are deposited after your completed financial aid application materials are received and reviewed. After course registration, Business Office personnel deduct the amount of tuition and fees owed to CFCC. This same account can be used to purchase books at the CFCC bookstore if funds remain after payment of tuition and fees. Typically, you can charge books against pending financial aid in the CFCC bookstore during the first two weeks of each semester, so apply early to avoid having to pay for required textbooks out of pocket.
You will receive a CFCC check for the amount of financial aid awarded in excess of the cost of tuition, fees, books and supplies. The earliest checks are mailed at the beginning of the sixth week of each semester; then periodically throughout the remainder of the semester.
