Your Student ID Number
Student ID numbers are very important to your success at Cape Fear Community College. It is a 7 digit unique identifying number assigned to you at your time of application. This number enables you to register and request information without being required to divulge your Social Security number. You may hear your student ID referred to as College ID, or just simply ID number.
If you have gotten a Cape Fear picture identification card, your number is printed on the front of the card. Cape Fear ID cards should be carried with you at all times. It is also printed at the bottom of many of the letters you receive from the College. Student ID numbers are printed on your registration statements (class schedule), bills, and receipts, both in printed and WebAdvisor formats.
Lastly, Student Development will be glad to provide your student ID number to you as long as you have a picture ID with you.
Getting a CFCC Student ID Card
Wilmington Campus ID Cards are made in the Union Station Building.
North Campus ID Cards are made in the McKeithan Center, Ground Floor at the Library Circulation Desk.
New students must wait 24 hours after registering for classes before they are eligible to have an ID card printed.
To get an ID, you will need a current schedule and photo identification (ie. driver's license, passport, military ID).
ID cards are free for curriculum students and employees. Replacement cards cost $10. Many Continuing Education students are also eligible for ID cards and the cost to them is $1. If you have an expired CFCC ID, hold onto it. You can trade it for a free replacement!
